A Field Trip to Remember

Farhana's school planned a field trip for the students of class five. They asked students to fill a registration form for the trip. On a sunny morning, they started for the Liberation War Museum at Agargaon, Dhaka. She and her classmates were excited to explore the museum. Their class teacher, Mr. Khan, went with them on this trip. They started from their school by bus at 9 a.m. The bus ride was filled with chatter and laughter. Farhana sat next to his friend, Rabeya. They sang songs together. When they reached the museum at 10 a.m., the guide, Mr. Kamal greeted them. His welcoming attitude pleased them. Mr. Kamal guided them to see the different corners of the museum. First, they watched a short documentary. It showed the bravery of the freedom fighters during the Liberation War. Their patriotism and sacrifice inspired them. Around half past ten, they started visiting different galleries. Old photographs of war, handwritten letters of the freedom fighters, and their weapons were displayed. They carry the memories of the war. They saw the personal belongings of the war heroes. The display of the galleries made them curious to learn more about the Liberation War. Finally, they thanked their guide for his support. They left the museum at 12:30 p.m. and returned to school at 1:30 p.m. They shared their feelings and experiences with their families. It was really a memorable trip for them.

ফারহানার স্কুল পঞ্চম শ্রেণির শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য একটি শিক্ষাসফরের পরিকল্পনা করল। সফরের জন্য শিক্ষার্থীদের একটি নিবন্ধন ফরম পূরণ করতে বলা হলো। এক রোদেলা সকালে তারা ঢাকার আগারগাঁওয়ে মুক্তিযুদ্ধ জাদুঘরের উদ্দেশে রওনা হলো। সে ও তার সহপাঠীরা জাদুঘর ঘুরে দেখার জন্য উত্তেজিত ছিল। তাদের শ্রেণিশিক্ষক জনাব খান এই সফরে তাদের সঙ্গে গেলেন। তারা সকাল ৯টায় বাসে করে স্কুল থেকে রওনা দিল। বাসযাত্রা ছিল গল্প আর হাসিতে ভরা। ফারহানা তার বন্ধু রাবেয়ার পাশে বসল। তারা একসাথে গান গাইল। সকাল ১০টায় জাদুঘরে পৌঁছালে গাইড জনাব কামাল তাদের অভ্যর্থনা জানালেন। তাঁর আন্তরিক আচরণ তাদের ভালো লাগল। জনাব কামাল তাদের জাদুঘরের বিভিন্ন কোণ ঘুরিয়ে দেখালেন। প্রথমে তারা একটি স্বল্পদৈর্ঘ্যের প্রামাণ্যচিত্র দেখল। এতে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সময় মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের বীরত্ব দেখানো হয়েছিল। তাঁদের দেশপ্রেম ও ত্যাগ তাদের অনুপ্রাণিত করল। সাড়ে দশটার দিকে তারা বিভিন্ন গ্যালারি দেখতে শুরু করল। যুদ্ধের পুরোনো ছবি, মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের হাতে লেখা চিঠি ও তাঁদের অস্ত্র প্রদর্শিত ছিল। এগুলো যুদ্ধের স্মৃতি বহন করে। তারা যুদ্ধের বীরদের ব্যক্তিগত ব্যবহার্য জিনিস দেখল। গ্যালারির প্রদর্শনী তাদের মুক্তিযুদ্ধ সম্পর্কে আরও জানতে কৌতূহলী করে তুলল। শেষে তারা সহযোগিতার জন্য গাইডকে ধন্যবাদ জানাল। দুপুর সাড়ে বারোটায় তারা জাদুঘর ছেড়ে বেলা দেড়টায় স্কুলে ফিরে এলো। তারা তাদের অনুভূতি ও অভিজ্ঞতা পরিবারের সাথে ভাগ করে নিল। এটি সত্যিই তাদের জন্য একটি স্মরণীয় সফর ছিল।
